Praise me:)

If you have ever made anything from this book, you will know that rather than getting a simple recipe and making what you want, it's like being in a cooking class. I seriously feel like I'm studying when I use this book. But it's good! Plus you just feel pro. Confession: I've only actually made omelettes and quiche... but I've read a bunch of other stuff, so that counts, right? Anyway, I had the camera out so took a pic. Might as well post it because I feel like that's what bloggers do, right? They make dinner and then post about it? I'm not sure why... maybe we women just need praise, haha.
OH, and here's a crepe cake (not from this cbook, from some Cordon Bleu one). Cool right? This one is an orange cream crepe cake... yeah not even good! It was seriously gross (too fancy). But little Jacob and Isaac, kept asking for more and more servings of it and couldn't get enough! We were just laughing at them because we could not understand. I love Isaac and his overenthusiastic raspy voice as he complements, "Mmmmmme, this crepe cake is goooood, Becca!" They probably ate 1/2 of it because the rest of us were more reluctant. But it looks cool, right? Next time: Nutella and bananas, done! That will be good.

Baby Room for Baby, Boy???

Okay, this room might look girly to you. But that's what happens when you choose the main fabric before you find out the sex - and the girly stuff is just cuter. So when you see flowers, think outdoorsy nature stuff, and then you'll get 'boy,' right? I took these last night, so sorry if lighting isn't the best. But you'll get the gist. I just love it and we are so excited for it to be used:)
P.S. Changing table: $20 bucks (I did need to paint it, tho), Glider and Ottoman: $35. Impressive, right? All on the wall adds up to be about $10. It just feels good to be cheap!
Also: with the help of my patient mother, I (okay we) made the bedskirt... Simultaneously she taught me how to sew. Impending quilt and bumper pad.. Got the Cute fabric from Scrapbooks Etc. in Mesa with the help of Megan Bitter Dalton's mom, Teressa Bitter.

He shot, he scored!

Get your mind out of the gutter! hehe, I know I'm bad. But it's the cashier at Grafiti Burger's fault (you had to be there). This costume won me the "best use of body" award. Classic award, right? We even got a Grater's gift card out of it (ice-cream). Jacob also guessed the pumpkin weight of the one on display and won a.... wait for it... pumpkin! Yeah we gave it away. The ward Halloween party was a hit, and that is impressive! I think it's cus we love our ward, it rocks.

Week 33/34

Week 33/34: I love these pictures because of how inaccurate they are, haha. Do you see how i turn to the side? Brilliant way hide my "birthing hips, and... engorged thighs don't really have a pregnancy name, but I feel super cute when I look at pics like these, NOT when I look in the reflection at a grocery store. The man at the UPS store asked, "When are you due?" I said "Next month." because I can say that now, even though it's the very END of next month and if he's late it will be the month after that. He responds, "Yeah, I could tell it was any day." Thank you??? That day I asked Jacob, "So are you excited or ready for this pregnancy to be over?" Jacob: "Yeah. I'm excited for you to be skinny again." Sounding like he's been caught with the cookie jar, "I mean, you know, normal again." Haha, I hear him, though. It's like another body has taken over my own. It's well worth it all, though. I get to feel baby kick and hiccup all the time, and that is what's important, and makes me more than happy with this other version of me that has taken over for a few months.

Baby Shower

Jacob and I flew to Arizona for his sister Erica's wedding on Aug. 6th. Since it was the last time we'd be in AZ, my family + family friends threw me an early baby shower the next day. This was super nice of them because our baby is our first and before the shower we didn't have, well, anything. Thanks to everyone who came we feel so much more prepared! And our baby will be the best dressed baby on the block, holy cow. Our family friend, Keiko, the wife of my brother in law Carson's friend, Otsushi (I don't know how to spell that) brought her fancy camera, took pictures, and sent me a cd in the mail. She's from Japan and it seems she has made it her life goal to make everything the stinking cutest thing in the world. If you think you're crafty, you're so not. It's hard to open a gift she gives you because the wrapping is usually made out of fabric and ribbons and you don't want to ruin it! Anyway, so I will post a few pics real quick.

Jacob's Aunt and cousins (and little Maylana)

Yum... I want those

If only you can eat diaper cakes...

Tacos from Mango's Cafe on Main street in Mesa... the BEST FOOD EVER is what Mango's means in Spanish, I think.

Aime Waters!!! I kind of love her. She is my 6th grade best friend and always will be!

This is Joan. My dad's biological father's wife. I would call her my step grandma, but look at her! She is way too hip to be called a grandma. And my cuz Mikayla (sp?) who loves me because I once spoiled her with food:)

That's me being spoiled, my mom pointing, and my Italian Grandma... can you say epitome of grandma? (we are not blood related, so no I'm not Italian)

And yes, this is a gorgeous home.

All my sisters:) Can you guess which of us does not like her picture taken? (I'll give you a hint, her name starts with Becc and ends with a.)
